Book A Session

Starting off the new year with new focus…

…Or maybe finding one. No matter what it is, you deserve to be the best YOU you can be.

Typically, this time of year is when so many of us are trying to figure out the new resolutions for 2025. Let’s be honest…we are probably having a good chuckle about the number of 2024’s resolutions that were not even a recent memory. We start off with ambitious goals and aspirations, yet somehow the result is always the same. Missed targets, missed goals, dreams still on the shelf. Sometimes we are so focused on helping someone else reach their goals or watching their trends and habits, we lose track of our own. This leaves us feeling frustrated, a little vacant perhaps. Dare I say sad, wondering why you had the same results for how many years in a row now?

Let’s change this. You deserve to be the best YOU you can be. It’s time to take a different approach. Instead of setting a goal, set a guide word…a Word of the Year. This simple shift has had a profound impact on many people. One that is long lasting and transformative. This one word acts as your anchor, your benchmark for all you do going forward. The difference in this versus setting a goal is that once you reach that goal…then what? You didn’t lose those last 10 pounds. So you just give up and have a good chat with Ben and Jerry Chubby Hubby? What benefit have you gained (and those extra pounds of comfort from B&J are not benefits…just sayin’).

Take a moment to look at this past year. Does there seem to be an overall theme? What were the good points and not so good ones. What did you learn from the challenges you faced? What direction do you want life to take for you next year?

Whether you decide to find a guide word for next year, do a vision board, set several goals for yourself, make sure you do it with the best YOU in mind. I think Jamal Crawford said it best,  “Sometimes it’s more about the journey than the destination.”

If you are trying to figure out the key guide word for you but aren’t sure what to do, join us for our What’s the Word on January 5. During this interactive workshop, we will be doing some introspective work, identify a few desired changes, maybe a goal or two which all lead to identifying your Word of the Year. This is your benchmark, your guide, for decisions and choices you make in the up coming year. Click here to sign up!
